First Aid/AED/CPR
Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the United States, claiming approximately 250,000 lives each year. When SCA strikes, seconds mean the difference between life and death. With each minute of elapsed time, the survival rate diminishes by approximately 10 percent. Now, with the latest generation of portable automated external defibrillators (AED's) and training from your American Red Cross, your employees will by prepared to increase the odds of survival if sudden cardiac arrest strikes a co-worker.
Please contact Robin Holland for more information on purchasing and AED.
American Red Cross AED training teaches anyone how to respond to victims of sudden cardiac arrest and deliver the lifesaving electric shock that can return the heart to its normal rhythm. Participant's will learn how today's AED's are easy to use, thereby minimizing response anxiety.
American Red Cross First Aid, AED and CPR programs are designed to help you learn and remember valuable lifesaving skills and knowledge. We translate the consensus of medical science into practical, easy to understand information for the American public.
Red Cross First Aid, AED and CPR programs are available for any age group and can be tailored to the needs of specific groups and individuals. Whether you work with children, want training for employees, are a professional rescuer, or simply want to know how to help in an emergency, the American Red Cross has a program for you. Sports Safety Training
The American Red Cross and the United States Olympic Committee joined forces in 1997 to develop an exciting course specifically for coaches like you - coaches who need to keep their athletes safe. This 6 1/2 hour course offered features video and classroom instruction, plus a handy reference book to use and keep with you during competitions and practices. The training provides coaches with the basic first aid skills and knowledge needed to care for athletic injuries. This program meets requirements needed to apply for Pupil Activities Supervisor Validation (State of Ohio & Board of Education).
The Goals of Sport Safety Training:
To keep athletes safer
To enable coaches to prevent, prepare for, and respond to sports-related injuries
To raise awareness of safety issues in athletics
To provide an atmosphere in which athletes can train and compete with the confidence that their coach has taken a sport safety course
